Hulk is looking to make an impression on his national manager Dunga

Hulk is looking to make an impression on his national manager Dunga with a good show in the games versus the Costa Rican and the American team for which he has been included in the squad.

It’s the first time in his career that Hulk will be playing under Dunga.

Hulk was in Brazil’s World Cup squad too last year and although he was not at his best in the tournament as many of his teammates, he had managed to retain his place in the first squad that Dunga announced after taking charge.

But, he had to pull out from that squad due to injury and was being overlooked after that.

He has received the call up again and this time around, he is keen to establish himself.

Post a gruelling practice session last evening, the 29-year old was quoted as saying, “You have to grab your opportunities especially when you are from a country like Brazil where so many wonderful talents keep popping up.”

“I believe this is my time and I need to make sure I make the most of it and show what I have got to offer.”

Dunga’s squad includes an uncapped player too i.e. Gabriel Paulista.

Paulista has been brought in to play on the place of the former captain and one of the best Selecao defenders in the recent times Thiago Silva.

The Arsenal man knows whom he is replacing and he also has the idea that every time he steps on the pitch, he will be under the microscope, but, he is calm and not putting pressure on himself.

Speaking to press, Paulista said, “I don’t think I am here to exceed Thiago. He is a different class, not too many better than him in the world. I see him as a role model.”
