Botafogo’s 2018 campaign has been very unstable

During Botafogo’s 2017 Brazilian Serie A campaign, they managed to secure the 10th spot of that competition.

In the current season of 2018, Botafogo has collected 35 points from the 31 opening league matches and with only a few more matches left to be played, they are well on pace of finishing as their previous season.

In terms of results and points collected, the Brazilian outfit are on a similar path than previous but in terms of managers it’s a different story as they are currently going through the 4th tactician of this current year.

Alberto Valentim, Felipe Conceicao, Paqueta are all of the previous tacticians that have taken over the club as their head coach for the current and ongoing year of 2018.

Ze Ricardo is the latest coach that was assigned to the heat seat spot as he took over only a few months ago back on August. Since being appointed in that position, Ricardo has managed to push the team through 3 triumphs, 6 draws and 6 defeats of the Brazilian Serie A.

The latest match of Botafogo saw them facing off with Atletico-PR in a match that resulted with the team of Ze Ricardo losing 2-1.

Whether or not Ze Ricardo is able to stay as the head coach of Botafogopor a significantly longer period of time than the previous managers is something that remains to be seen and will ultimately depend on the results that the 47 year old tactician is able to obtain.

With only a few more matches left to be played in this year, these upcoming games are vital not only for Botafogo but especially for Ze Ricardo whose previous club was Vasco da Gama where he was in charge of but decided to resign on June and now he has a new challenge lying ahead.
